OUR MINISTRIES

We are all called to do ministry and even minister, but in all kinds of different ways so that the gospel can be proclaimed, the kingdom can be built, and God can be glorified — it is the calling of God.

Children's, Youth, and Teen Ministry These ministries lead in developing programs that reach and develop students in grades K-12 and meeting the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of students in the church and community

Christian Education Ministry This ministry is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordinating and implementing of a program of education for members and others from birth through adulthood. This ministry coordinates events with the district and state associations on all levels of learning.

Correspondence Ministry This ministry is responsible for gathering information to be announced and making sure the announcer receives the information to announce so that church attenders may be kept up to date on events going on at the church or even in the community.

Culinary Arts Ministry The members (various volunteers) of this ministry prepare and provide food needed for the different events (weddings, funerals, anniversaries, etc.) as needed. Special care is given to the proper preparations and serving of the meals provided.

Deaconess Board Deaconesses duties vary, but responsibilities generally include such tasks as assisting with church ordinances, assisting the pastor and deacons in attending to members and non-members, ministering to the needy, maintaining items for the Lord’s Supper and baptism, and sometimes mentoring female church members. Members of this ministry are generally selected by the lead pastor.

Deacons Ministry The selected members of this group

• Participate in all scheduled Deacon Body activities, unless providentially hindered.
• Are available to minister when called upon by the lead Pastor.
• Practice personal evangelism of the lost as opportunities arise.
• Attend beneficial training sessions as needed.
• Pray for and be supportive of the Pastor.

Discipleship Ministry Christian discipleship ministry might best be described as a training or mentoring ministry designed to develop individuals to become more like their Savior.

Evangelism Ministry The main objective of evangelism is to allow people who have not heard -- or have not yet accepted -- the gospel of Christ the opportunity to hear the gospel and respond to it.

Events Ministry This ministry oversees any special events held at the church; schedules events, providing equipment, furniture, number of available spaces and location of the spaces.

Media Ministry The Media Team works behind the scenes to make it possible to share the message of the church with large groups of people (inside and outside of the church building) through amplified sound, recordings, PowerPoint presentations, Web pages and other forms of communication.

Membership Ministry Membership classes help everyone in the church enter “on the same page.” New members and current members should know what the church believes on essential and non-essential doctrines, how a church works, and how it makes decisions.

Ministers Ministry This ministry consists of ordained and not ordained persons called by God and positioned by the lead pastor to fulfill such duties as preaching, teaching, serving the Lord’s Supper, praying for and with others, and other duties as per the lead pastor.

Music Ministry Music ministry leads the development and implementation of a music ministry that is focused on helping people experience true worship, strengthening the faith of believers, leading people to Christ, and glorifying God.

Non-Profit Organizations (CDC) This is an organization that partners with other organizations as specified by guidelines, to provide services for the community: food, clothing, information, and various educational programs.

Nurses' Guild Members of this ministry help, care for, and assist attenders who may need medical attention during various services by providing basic First Aid assistance.

Theater Arts Ministry This ministry is responsible for providing the church with music, dance, and drama which are performed before the church. Many times it collaborates with the Music Ministry to produce other ways to share the gospel.

Trustee Board The board of trustees is the governing body that represents the interest of the patrons of a church. Members of this board are selected by the pastor. Trustee boards are typically in charge of budgetary matters within a church.

Ushers/Greeters Ministry This ministry is very crucial to the church as its members are the first to meet in-comers. It makes sure that those coming through the doors feel welcomed, are greeted properly, and are shown a comfortable place to sit to enjoy the service or event. Members of this group make sure attenders have an order of service or any other handouts that are needed. They may also answer questions anyone might have.
